It's St. Patrick's Day, and instead of wearing green, I inadvertently put on black and tan - a particularly bad set of colors on such an Irish Catholic Day!
Anyhow, hope yours is good!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Sadly, there was no corned beef and cabbage to be found. The fill-in was a Irish stew, that was good, but no substitute for corned beef and cabbage. It was accompanied by a lime yellow topped with a small bit of whipped cream. Only one server wasn't wearing green.
OT. Just a reminder that Earth Hour is on March 30. Light em up!
I'm thinking of my grandmother's grandmother who came to Australia from Cork with her brother (steerage ticket round the Cape, before Suez canal). She was 14 and worked as a servant till she got married and went on the land, but they failed as squatters and she ended up running a boarding house in inner Sydney while hubby drank away his wages. The good old days!
As Victor McLaglen, playing an Irish Sgt. In She Wore a Yellow Ribbon said, "Ah, the auld days ar' gone foriver!"
Is this the Black and Tan you "put on", Paco?
Enquiring minds want to know!
Hadn't thought about that one!
