Is anybody paying attention out there? This is a horrible idea that plays into the hands of the mobocracy and undermines the safeguards afforded to republican government by the Electoral College. I can only hope that this measure gets voted down in November.

Oh, they're paying attention, all right: Free stuff. Avocados in lieu of national security. Rethuglicans gotta HATE! Get woke. Orange Man Bad, etc., etc, ad nauseum.
That sound in the distance, behind the barking of tyrants? That would be the baaing of sheeple, being driven to slaughter.
So why even bother with an election?
Surest road to rebellion that I can see. Have the people on two coasts dictate to everyone between Arizona and Utica NY.
I am praying as hard as I can that this idiotic measure doesn't pass. Unfortunately, I hear from members of my family that they're in favor of it because "everybody's vote should count", and it never occurs to them (and they can't be convinced) that if we trash the Electoral College, their votes WON'T count anymore. Also, whenever I point out that if Hillary Clinton had won the election, nobody would even be doing this.
I get dead silence. Dead. Silence.

Ohio would join the seventeen states that are already onboard. It's frightening that the movement is so close to achieving the goal. They have 189 of 270 votes.
Richard believes this movement is funded by George Soros. I'd bet on it.
