...but thanks to friend and commenter Bruce for reminding me of Anzac Day (here's an interesting article Bruce linked on the kind of precautions that are being taken these days).
All honor and glory to our Australian and Kiwi brothers and sisters in arms.
Update: "With the Australians in New Guinea".
Update II:
Here's a really good piece on Australian (and Kiwi and Canadian) valor during the Korean War (thanks again to Bruce).

Thanks Paco.
Here's an interesting bit of history in Korea with US General J Van Fleet presenting a citation to our boys in their slouch hates:

We're family, US and Australia, never mind diplomats.
'Hates', oops!
Unfortunately, Australia is having to deal with the same Islamoleftist crap the rest of us do.
Rebecca - quite so. And neither of our major parties are willing to acknowledge the danger.
But we have a federal election next month, and we have several minor conservative parties who are campaigning strongly for the Senate.
Give both Liberal and Labor seem equally clueless on this and most other issues, I don't care much who wins (thought I'd prefere the Libs). My hope is for a Senate that ties the next government down so tight it can barely breathe.
