"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
I first heard of Otis Spann from a series of British lps sold at my newsagent 50 years ago, mostly featuring John Mayall with sidemen like Eric Clapton, with US R&B guys recorded while touring UK. Mainly I thought that 'Otis Spann' was a such great name (seeing as I was guitar mad, not a piano fan back then).
ReplyDeleteAh, John Mayall! His stuff brings back memories of the (my) old days.
