I was never a fan of AMC products, with one exception: the father of one of my friends, who was a collector of all kinds of automobiles, had a Javelin AMX, which was a sweet little muscle car.
This ad wouldn't work today. All that grinding, surging, screeching, "what truck?", is the fault of the machine, not precious me.

I had a '65 Rambler Ambassador once, it was a big underpowered tank, and smelled moldy inside. I trusted it.
