Looks like A-Rod wins the "Genius" Award this week.
Seriously, dude, who leaves $500,000 worth of stuff in his rental car, in downtown San Francisco, at night?

Who does that?
Dunno... a guy trying an insurance scam, maybe?
I dunno. Half a million seems to be overplaying his hand, if he's involved in a scam. On the other hand, what's the saying? Go big or go home?
"Hey man, I had five copies of my rookie card in the car!"
No idea what his rookie card is worth, by the way. I am probably the only male member of my generation who did not lose a potential fortune when his mother threw away his comic book and baseball card collection when he went into the Army or to college.
That's because I never collected either. Also, for what it's worth, I am probably the only member of my generation to finish college without either working in food service or selling plasma. That's what I'm having carved on my tombstone.
People with that kind of money are usually careless with it, because they assume there will always be more. Usually they're pretty surprised when there isn't.
Camera $100. Laptop $100. Bag $100,000. Miscellaneous jewelry that one takes to SF on an overnight business trip, $399,800.
Sounds about right.
Bling ain't cheap. {O.O}
