The wolverine is ousted as the largest member of the weasel family

The distinction of being the biggest weasel goes to the odious James Comey, former FBI Director and freelance traitor, who was lucky to escape indictment, but was nonetheless excoriated in Inspector General Horowitz’s report.

But the new rule, I guess, is that, as long as you don't go to jail, you're basically untainted. I have seen a recent image of Comey positively smirking before the cameras, and he has demonstrated the immortal rind of suggesting that he is owed an apology!

I have oft quoted a comment made to his associates by the robber-baron Jay Gould, as they fled New York one step ahead of the authorities in the wake of one financial scandal or another: "Don't worry, boys - nothing's lost, save honor". One has only to look at the career of a Deep State operative such as Comey to be reminded of the fact that, in Washington, honor is a very cheap commodity, indeed, and its loss no great obstacle for weasels on the make.

At least, this vile specimen has been expunged from the rolls of federal employees, and is unlikely to return. Replicate the action a few thousand times, and maybe it won't matter whether anyone goes to jail or not. Although, I tend to think it does matter: the people need to see that not every freakin' last one of these crooks is above the law.

Update - No need to consult the "legitimate" media; the Babylon Bee spells it out clearly and succinctly: "Poll Finds 100% Of People Who Are James Comey Believe James Comey Did Nothing Wrong".

Makes me wonder how many people, like me, want to be on a federal trial jury just to vote 'not guilty'.

Exactly! Jury nullification was the first thing that came to my mind as one type of response to the two-tier justice system.

Were you the one who dubbed him "The World's Tallest Soyboy", or was that Ace?

Spiny: Not me, but it does definitely sound like Ace.
