Curly Neal, RIP

Curly was always one of my favorites among the Harlem Globetrotters, whom I watched on television whenever I got the chance, and even saw in person, one time, when they played a game in Raleigh, NC. God rest the soul of this great athlete and comic.

One of my favorites too. Also saw him in person, can't recall when it was so long ago, must have been in the 70's. I think it was at the old Boston Garden.

As you say, great entertainer and an amazing athlete.

Thanks to Curly for all the entertainment and athleticism! I can only imagine how many kids he inspired, and changed lives. RIP.

They even came to my hometown (pop. 5300) back in the 1960's. It was a big deal at the time, and there was a packed house. Curly Neal and Meadowlark Lemon are the two I remember being the stars of the show. We had seen them on TV, of course, but it was still fun to see them in person. His dribbling routines were impressive.
