Happy Feet Friday

All my friends have this 'old song' nostalgia thing and it's hard for me to explain how it's not the notes or the tune for me, so much as the performance. They can play all the notes but sound dull. I guess that's what we learned from the R&B scene - when they put 'soul' into a performance you feel it deep down. Not just a 'black' thing but maybe they started it - Miley Cyrus has a way to really get into a song. Steve Winwood on Facebook the other day played a boogie woogie with some stylish touches - he always had soul:
