Who ya gonna call?

It might have to be the Ghostbusters, because there probably won't be enough police officers around to do the job: "New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is vowing to cut funding for the New York City Police Department (NYPD) even as violent crime soars."
During a news conference on Sunday, de Blasio said his administration would “be moving funding from the NYPD to youth initiatives and social services” in its new budget request.
So, what are we talking here, Bill Clinton's "midnight basketball" redux? It's the same old leftist nonsense: throw money at a problem - aimless, disadvantaged "yutes", in this case - and hope that the small fraction of it that doesn't stick to the fingers of race hustlers like Al Sharpton and lesser members of the grifters' guild might find its ostensible "primary" beneficiaries and do some good. Meanwhile, if someone burglarizes your store or robs your gas station, just chalk it up as your contribution to a Better Tomorrow.

All I care is, that they don't call me.

You can bet a big chunk of that money that will be taken from the police funds will end up in the pocketbook of deBlasio's grifter wife Chirlane. And New York will be Taxi Driverand Death Wish all over again.

More like "Escape From New York", Rebecca. Without Snake Plissken.

When tourists used to get mugged in Times Square in broad daylight?

Well, the people who claim the more "vibrant" areas of NYC that have become too bland and "Disneyfied" will be happy. They, of course, don't live in those areas themselves...
