For future reference

The concept of commie-run summer camps, popular in the 1940s and 1950s, continues today in a new form. Celebrity sports flop, Colin Kaepernick, is now running something called Know Your Rights Camp, a venue for the indoctrination of young "black and brown" people in the politics of racial divisiveness - or, as their mission statement puts it, "Our mission is to advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders." I'm not linking the organization's site; look it up and browse if you want to. Just know that it's out there, and that it's not the kind of operation where students say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning, or display the American flag as a symbol to be respected.

David Horowitz and Ron Radosh, both red diaper babies, attended those camps. There apparently were three different communist summer camps in the northeast, differentiated somewhat by economic class (because commies). One I recall was largely for children of labor union members, while both Radosh and Horowitz's parents were "intellectuals."

Anyway, each writes about the camps in their respective memoirs.

I wonder if Kaeperdick's summer camp will have a segment on how to get rich by exploiting Chinese slave labor (Nike).

Rebecca: Kipperdick may want to keep that information all to himself.

Steve: I remember reading about the red diaper babies and their summer camps, I believe in one of Horowitz's accounts. Very interesting. I'm not sure how their commie loyalty was able to withstand Pete Seeger and his damned banjo, though.

Haha! Yes Pete Seeger's banjo - 'This machines destroys music' - and the whole focus on serious 'issues' instead of childhood fun would warp anyone's mind.
