Seriously, what was the point of taking down Bin Laden if you're willing to turn the country over to a party that is planning to torch our constitution and overthrow the things you claim to believe in? "Navy SEAL who oversaw bin Laden raid says he voted for Joe Biden".
McRaven described himself as a "pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, small-government, strong-defense and a national-anthem-standing conservative" but said the US was no longer a country that set an example of democracy.You're either lying about the things you say you believe in, or you're completely schizophrenic in your political beliefs.
Harsh words? I don't care. There's too much at stake in this election to hold fire based on the old laurels hanging in the closet of a guy who seems to have forgotten what his original oath was all about. Vote for whom you wish, but don't dare to presume to instruct the rest of us in what constitutes democracy, especially since you are more than willing to trade your supposedly cherished beliefs for a mess of pottage (or, in this case, a mess of dotage).

McRaven seems to decry the status quo in American foreign relations, and yet faults Trump for upending that status quo. He supports Black Lives Matter without acknowledging the Marxist underpinnings, and supports the Dreamers without acknowledging the damage done to the concept of sovereignty. So which is it, McRaven? Support every squishy initiative so that you can be seen as virtuous, and sell your books, and get invited to all the right parties? Or take your oath supporting the Constitution seriously? Choose one.
Cut the poor guy some slack. He's only a private citizen now, not a SEAL. He's the guy the left will send the SEALs after if he crosses them.
Once the Truth and Reconciliation Commission is seated, and they start rounding up the "maggots" for prosecution, conviction, and expungement (whatever that entails - read any history of the 20th Century for a clue) he's got no protection. His only hope to survive is to align himself with The Right Side Of History. If Trump wins, nothing happens to him. If the Biden-Harris clique does, anybody in their sights is toast. So consider it the modern American political analogue to Pascal's Wager. Get with he people who are bashing heads, or get your own head bashed.
It's either that or the camps, and a shallow grave.
Nah, no slack. The mere fact that his endorsement of Biden has been the lead story on the Yahoo News homepage all day means that there are probably untold thousands of notional, crotchety, contrary John-McCain-loving retirees out there somewhere for whom this is the last little shove they needed to vote for Biden. Besides, why should McRaven avoid the gulag if I can't?
The nasty secret Paco, is that nobody avoids the gulag. Anybody can end up there.
The original ones were filled with good Party members, all protesting "There must be some mistake! If only Comrade Stalin knew!"
Well, then, my last act as they put the noose around my neck will be to laugh at my neighbors on the gallows and the surprised expressions on their faces.
I don't intend to enter the gulag alive. They can kill me, but not enslave me.
