"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
I'm a sucker for puppy videos.
ReplyDeleteHeh! That pitbull could have smooshed the chihuahua at any time!
ReplyDeleteI don't know. Have you ever seen a Chihuahua goes suddenly savage? Nasty little buggers.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the patience of these larger, older dogs in the videos, btw.
A friend's chihuahua used to attack my old dog.
ReplyDeleteHe'd just look at it as it tried to bite his legs, wondering what its problem was.
I don't like those little rat dogs.
I've met a couple I could like, but most are yapping, aggressive, little iceholes.
It's my least favorite dog.
ReplyDeleteThe attitudes of ittle dogs, like Chihuahuas, are exacerbated by the coddling they receive from doting owners. Who wouldn't be more protecting of those that lavish praise and treats?
ReplyDeleteMy Mom had Chihuahuas. Her last one, Squeaky, was her fierce defender, that was heightened when she contracted cancer. An iconic actor visited the ranch. He very much wanted to make friends with Squeaky, who was having none of it. He was guarding Mom. He growled, squirted, and bit. The gentleman was shocked at both Squeaky and me. He questioned my giggling, to which I responded that Squeaky only had teeth in the back, therefore he couldn't do harm.
You have to be the alpha, or they take over. Not all Chihuahuas fit the stereotype. Although we had one (Tiger) who backed a stray cow down our driveway. The scene and the expression on that bovine's face still make me laugh.
