Watch out Paco, blogsnot [sic and Haw!] just banned Second City Cop blog, wordpress banned Conservative Tree House, they're going all out to ban all us deplorables.
I don't have a lot of readers, which probably works to my advantage, but sooner or later they may get around to the small fry. Readers may want to go to my profile and write down my email address so we can maintain communication of some sort in case this site gets torpedoed. Meanwhile, I'm going to look into alternative email service, too.
Update II Ace of Spades has pretty much become Resistance Central; definitely no Hamlet-like vacillation, moral equivalence b.s. over there. I sure hope he'll be able to stay afloat amidst the perfect storm of cancellation that's going on all around us.
Check out protonmail.com -- it's European, and costs a few shekels (4 Euros, whatever that is in real money), but comes highly recommended by a friend of mine, an IT sercurity expert. Among other features, messages between protonmail users are encrypted.

I have my own domain, but I am probably going to drop my other accounts in favor of the proton mail. Just haven't gotten around to it.
Jeff, I came across a reference to protonmail the other day, promptly forgot the name of the service, and have been racking my brain trying to recollect it. Thanks for rescuing my faulty memory.
ReplyDeleteI went to https://heyjackass.com to see if they had news on Second City Cop Blog, boy do they.
ReplyDeleteThey were shut down.
This is near the end of their statement.
all we can say right now is, “We don’t know.” We don’t know if this is it, we don’t know if we’ll return. We don’t know what Big Tech has in store for us and the political winds are not fortuitous. We are exploring options and we’ll leave it at that.
The endgame is nigh. I really, really, really don't want to see what happens next.
That's awful. Second City Cop is (was?) a great source for no-nonsense crime statistics and stories.
ReplyDeleteGab.com. Clouthub.com. MeWe.com. duckduckgo and dogpile. There are others, but I can't find the article that listed them all. We have alternatives, although they need supporting with more eyeballs. I despair that Parler is toast (for now), but the internet still has nooks and crevices and corners that the left can't screw up, and I think more will be built by some very angry tech-savvy people.
