Update  Republican Dan Crenshaw didn't vote to impeach, but he is on the list of Unreliables - for, among other things, fluffing Liz Cheney's pillow. H/T: Ace's sidebar

  1. My guess is they hope for cushy jobs from the statist overlords.

Bet they won't be happy if the job is cleaning out the gas chambers in the camps, huh?

  3. Unless a whole lot of GOP are primaried, I bet the Dems don't even have to cheat to win the next election.
They will of course, but it won't be necessary.

    1. Cheating is the Democrat insurance policy. Plus, it's tradition. I don't like ending traditions, but.... I just wish we could stop Lucy from pulling the football.

  4. Newhouse's district is not far from me, and I am certain people are planning how to primary him.

My House rep published her, ahem principaled reasons for voting against impeachment. However, she (Cathy McMorris-Rodgers) has been pretty quiet on everything else. I'm considering writing in Minnie Mouse during the election cycle.

  5. Let me play devil's advocate for a minute and suggest that D.C. politicians still have to work with each other and will say nice things about each other that they don't mean. It was always thus. What matters is what they actually DO in the future.

  6. The Democrats' rush impeachment before Trump leaves office is to block him from running in 2024. Political chess.

  7. Impeachment might prevent Trump from being the king, but he would most likely still be the king-maker.
