No. It's just that, now that Trump is departing, there's no need to use the COVID-19 virus as a club against the president's administration anymore - "Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam: ‘Schools Need to Be Open’".
State agencies are now prioritizing in-person instruction, reported Richmond.com, after months of the Trump administration urging states to reopen schools. “Instead of ‘schools should be closed,’ we’re going to approach it from the starting point of ‘schools need to be open,’” Northam said at a briefing [emphasis mine - Paco].
What's really galling is not so much that the Left is in the ascendant - that's more tragic and ominous than galling - but that we are looking at a coming dictatorship of the imbecilariat, rule by dimwitted ideologues and moronic hypocrites. Does that mean that normal people are even dumber, to have permitted this to happen? That's tonight's homework question.
The Dumbers are those that who have not been taught how the world works, nor about socialism, communism, and totalitarianism. They fervently believe the former two haven't been done correctly, but they have the answers. In the case of the latter, it wouldn't go that far, or apply to them. These are the folks who have never heard the phrase, "Be careful what you wish for." These dreamers are akin to the crowds at the colosseum screaming, "Kill! Kill!". That is until they are scheduled for roundup.

I read that Portland mayor Ted Wheeler was punched by social justice activists (translation: dammit, they're too well known, we can't call them Trump supporters) after his about face on the CHAZ/CHOP whatever it's called this week.

As dark as things may be, there's always a little ray of sunlight to be found.
Isn't everything that's happening now going exactly how we said it would? Biden was shoveled into office, and lo and behold! Miracle! COVID is no longer the danger it was, and schools can now be opened up, and restaurants (those that are left) can start serving customers indoors again. Meanwhile, we better start hoarding cash for the upcoming higher taxes and higher gas and heating prices, and if any of our loved ones are in the military (like one of mine), start praying that they will get out before the next useless war.
