"Tillis, Cornyn Start Talks with Democrats to Promote Amnesty for Hundreds of Thousands of Illegals".
Thom Tillis - and, btw, never trust anybody who spells Tom with an 'h' - is one of my RINO clucks. Our other senator - and former lawnmower salesman - Richard Burr is planning on retiring, I believe, after his present term is up, so that's good, because if dumb-assery were an Olympic event, Burr would be a gold medalist. But I have heard nothing about Tillis retiring anytime in the next decade or so; therefore, North Carolinians - and, for that matter, the rest of you - are stuck with this glad-handing, reaching-across-the-aisle , don't-sass-your-corporate-masters milksop well into the future.
Unless somebody successfully challenges him. Now that I'm retired, maybe I should give it a go. But, no, that would never work. I labored in the bureaucratic maze of Washington, DC for twenty years, and spent every day of every one of them dreaming of the time when I would finally be able to shake the dust of that wicked town from my highly-polished brown wing-tips. Besides, I recall the words of my father, Old Paco, after he had retired from government and become a successful businessman in his hometown. At one point, he was approached by the city fathers and asked to run for representative in the state house. He said to them, "No, thanks, boys; the only thing I ever ran for was the county line".
I feel for North Carolina, Paso. In Ohio we have three contenders to replace the retiring Rob Portman: some clown named Gibbons, Josh Mandel, and J.D. Vance, and I don't like or trust any of them.
