As is the case with many people, I got an early taste of classical music from Bugs Bunny cartoons. Here is Rossini's overture to The Barber of Seville, parts of which form the soundtrack for the classic Warner Bros animated short, "The Rabbit of Seville".

That's okay, but Alfalfa did it better.
ReplyDeleteCartoons are where I learned my love of classical music.
ReplyDeleteV: I dunno. His audience didn't seem to like his performance
ReplyDeleteFor your appraisal, some recently released performances by my favorite pianist, Tiffany Poon, and Jan Vogler on cello and Chad Hoopes on violin: Dvorak Piano Trio No. 4 in E Minor, Op. 90, B.166, "Dumky": I. Lento maestoso
ReplyDeleteAlso: Piano Trio No. 4 in E Minor, Op. 90, B.166, "Dumky": II. Poco adagio
And finally: Piano Trio No. 4 in E Minor, Op. 90, B.166, "Dumky": III. Andante
Actually, there are three more selections, but I got tired of typing links. Look for them in the recommended list.
I almost forgot. A solo performance of Humoresques by Tiffany: Humoresques, Op. 101, B. 187: VII. Poco lento e grazioso
ReplyDeletePaco, Karla liked it.
