Fats Navarro and the Bebop Boys perform "Webb City" (1946).
There's an interesting photo depicting a night-time view of West 52nd Street in New York City. The street was famous for its jazz clubs from the 1930s through the 1950s (note the Onyx Club and the 3 Deuces), and was a center of Bebop in the mid to late 1940s.
Oh! Not that Fats Navarro.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw "Fats Navarro", I thought it was gonna be about Ana Navarro joining "The Spew" as the token "conservative".
ReplyDeleteI believe the accepted nickname for Ana is "Blubber" Navarro.
