Well, if we're going to war with Russia, I suppose we need friends

She probably plagiarized one of Xi's speeches.
It's a tradition with this admin you know.

I keep waffling back and forth: Can't we endure two years of Kami McStupid just to get rid of Dirty Joe and his content-free brain? Then she goes and says something like that.

It wouldn't matter for policy, the same people would be in charge.
The question is which one is more embarrassing, a doddering idiot-fool lost in senility or a non-doddering idiot-fool lost in idiocy?
He was pretty stupid before he went senile but she cackles after spewing idiocies.

Yeah, sure , Kami. That's why NK is preparing for a ballistic missle launch from a submarine. Where do you think their goal is, hmmm.

(Side note: who knew NK had a sub.)

Rebecca: Kami is stupid, corrupt and otherwise objectionable in most every way, but I don't think she redlines on the vileness meter to the same extent as Joey Flan-brain, so, yes, at this stage, I wouldn't mind seeing her replace the current Resident. Although, as Veeshir points out, it wouldn't make any difference as to policy. It's just that Biden is becoming so increasingly repulsive, that I'm in favor of anything that gets him out of the center ring.

Biden has the excuse of being senile in addition to being stupid. Kamala is just stupid. So I think we are better off with Biden. Everybody knows to ignore what he says. God help us if Kamala were in charge and people took her seriously.

That said, it's a difference of being 95% doomed and 100% doomed.

Speaking of doom, how's the wind and water there at Paco HQ?

Lots of rain, a tornado or two spotted elsewhere in the county. The hurricane itself is still down around the waters off of Charleston, SC, I believe, so things here will probably get worse in the next 24 hours. So far, it looks like the hurricane, itself, is going to turn inland once it makes landfall in South Carolina, but we'll still get some of the "impact". We've got hurricane shutters mounted onto the house (they open, accordion fashion, and lock into place), and they cover the windows, front door and the screened-in back porch. I'm just hoping we don't lose any siding. This is the fourth hurricane we've experienced in four years (either directly or indirectly), and I told Mrs. Paco that if we get hit hard this time around, we ought seriously to start thinking of moving out west. Probably won't, though; I've had enough packing to last me a lifetime.
