"A Large, 'Extinct' Australian Cockroach Has Reappeared After More Than 80 Years".
Update In larger-animal news, my home county of Stanly is on the alert for an escaped rodeo bull: "Dangerous, aggressive 2,000-pound rodeo bull still on the loose in Stanly County".
The actor/cowboy Ben Johnson used to run a charity rodeo, and when we were living in Arizona, the rodeo took place in Rawhide one year. We went to see it - had a great time, incidentally - and we saw a rodeo bull actually jump a gate. Fortunately, the gate was an entrance to a small corral, so he didn't get out amongst the crowd. The sheer power of the animal was an awesome thing to behold.
Put a few cows in ovulation in a pasture and see if he doesn't turn up.
ReplyDeleteA nearby rodeo had a bull blow through a fence (made of PVC pipe, God knows why), and toss around a number of people.
ReplyDeleteAnd THEN he jumped a fence, and got stuck in a side channel, where he was finally restrained.
No one was hurt, but WOW, that video was intense.
We were at a rodeo a few years back when some dumb spectator dangled a baby over the arena fence in front of a running bull.
