Yeah, Biden, too, but right now, I happen to be talking about this old fool: "Mitch McConnell Is Funding Lisa Murkowski in Alaska BUT NOT Blake Masters in Arizona".
A real test of the potential effectiveness of the Republican Party in the future is going to be whether the genuine conservative/populist wing can topple the business-as-usual time servers, including, most notably, Mitch McConnell.
He did this 12 years ago when the tea party candidate won the primary.

When the Tea Party first began making an impact, McConnell said publicly that he would destroy it. Instead of reaching out to harness the energy and passion of this bloc of voters, which could have rejuvenated the Republican Party, he saw it only as a competitor to his uniparty, good-old-boy style of governing. From that day, I have had nothing but contempt for him.
ReplyDeleteMcConnell knows that if MAGA Republicans take the Senate, his leadership is toast. I don't know who's waiting in the wings that's worth a tinker's dam, but whoever it is needs to send the Murder Turtle into retirement regardless.
