Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm grateful to all my readers and commenters for making Paco Enterprises an interesting and fun place to be throughout the year. We here at the Paco Command Center wish you an enjoyable and safe holiday.

We'll be dining on turkey breast, rice with gravy, green beans, sweet potatoes and Mrs. Paco's scrumptious two-ingredient biscuits (flour and heavy whipping cream). I'm not sure who the Detroit Lions are going to lose to today, but I'll probably try to catch some of the game.

And now, as a public service, I encourage everybody to exercise a little after that heavy meal. Here's Lionel Hampton and his band from 1950 with a smokin' tune that'll make you dance away some calories: the "Turkey Hop", Part I.

What's that? You had three helpings of pumpkin pie? Then you may need to do another set, so stomp it off with "Turkey Hop", Part II.

  3. Wishes to all for a wonderful Thanksgiving! There is so much to be thankful for, not the least is Paco Enterprises! Paco I appreciate all the work you put in! And I enjoy the comments of all my friends here.

The garage couldn't get the truck done in time, so the traditional dinner is postponed. Today will be canned beef over toast with cheese, a vegetable .... We have stretch the pantry til who-knows-when. We're thankful that the garage's receptionist picked up cat food and a six pack of ginger ale from Walmart, and a pot pie from a restaurant. We're thankful for Vanessa!

  5. Thanksgiving hasn't (yet) followed Halloween across the Pacific. I trust everyone ate their fill and then some, and then quietly fell asleep in front of the television.

  6. I hope all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our Thanksgiving was spent with family, eating like pigs, watching football and the antics of the great-grandkids who are all six of them walking, talking, climbing, snooping, crying, dancing, complaining, playing, eating or stubbornly not eating, and generally keeping us great-grandparents entertained while simultaneously annoying their grandparents and parents.
