"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
It's a fascinating topic, but I can't watch all of it -- the guy is moving the camera too much, and it's giving me motion sickness.
ReplyDeleteDang it, that guy was GOOD with his tools. I wanted to see more!
ReplyDeleteThere is a little too much camera movement. People shouldn't have to take Dramamine to watch YouTube videos.
ReplyDeleteI liked that long, narrow knife-like thing the guy used for planing.
A video that REALLY set me on the nausea wagon was on "Battleswarm" a while back, a guy who bought an abandoned storage locker that was crammed full of weapons, ammo, and accessories. His girlfriend was moving the camera around like a pole dancer. I actually had to take anti-nausea medicine halfway through, and lie down.
ReplyDeleteYes, the craftsman definitely can wield his tools -- every motion was precise, almost no wasted effort. Really quite astounding, when you consider that most wood is not friendly to carving. I expect he selected the wood carefully, but still, that was a lot of skill on display.
