The GOPe strikes out again

"GOP Senator on Omnibus Bill: We Got Rolled By the Democrats".

[T]he Democrats want to drive off the fiscal cliff at 80 MPH, while the GOP would prefer to go 45MPH.

I wouldn't mind so much if it weren't for the fact that the rest of us are locked in the trunk.

  2. BTW, Paco, I just checked the weather in Southport right now.
It shows a balmy 13°F. Will you be going to the beach today?

-5°F here this morning, wind chill about -30. I'll be inside all day hoping the electricity stays on. :-)

  3. It's actually 54 degrees F right now, but it's going to get down into the teens tonight, and the lows for the next week are going to be pretty awful. Not as bad, obviously, as the sub-zero temperatures in many other places in the country, but I guess I will have to wear two pair of Bermuda shorts.

  4. Just think how cold it would be if not for Global Warming!

And on a related note, I've been wondering lately what they'll replace GW with when they finally have to give it up. "We have to fight the coming mini-ice-age, or millions will die!"

"Give us billions of dollars, and we will do pointless research, have useless protests and ad campaigns to fight the new climate terror!"

  5. And I just realized I mixed up the degrees F and degrees C. 13°C is about 54°F.

It's still early in the morn.

  6. We should enjoy our heat while we have it. The Biden Crime Family ™ are furiously working to do away with that god-awful juice that makes heat possible.

  7. AZ has the opposite weather from the rest of the country.
    It's 70 for a few days here.
Ditched the socks and the hoodie for smoking on the patio.
DC is a lost cause. Only reality is going to correct the ship.
    And it's gonna be ugly.
The world owes more money than there is. That can't be good.
People will be reading about this time for centuries. If we don't burn all the books staying warm.
