Huh?

Were they all wearing invisibility cloaks? "A group of motorcyclists and illegal 4-wheel dirt bikers from Durham went roaring through Raleigh streets Sunday evening before heading back to their hometown, police said. The Raleigh Police Department said they received several reports of up to 150 motorcyclists and dirt bikers in a pack along city streets in the early evening."

Here's where I get a little baffled.

After the massive group was in Raleigh and evaded police [my emphasis], they then drove back to Durham where they originated Sunday afternoon, Raleigh police said.

Well over a hundred bikers and ATV jockeys rode through the streets of Raleigh and...evaded the police. The brass might want to work in a few training sessions on traffic control in between the diversity seminars.

I was in baltimore some years ago when about a dozen dirt bikes and atvs drove by doing wheelies and such... I don't think the police are allowed to chase them... just a part of the colorful tableau of the city.

From another similar story on the same website, from the same area: Chapel Hill police said Monday that they would not chase the dirt bikers and ATV riders.

Three guesses why they won't chase them, or do anything to them if they do catch them.

And the first two guesses don't count. Hint: why do they not show photos or video of the offenders in action?

tom: I like to avoid colorful tableaus whenever possible.

R-man: I'm betting their Lives Matter more than mine.

If guess they don't need to show photos or video, because everyone will of course know they're a gang of white supremacist, MAGA extremists threatening Democracy with a boulevard insurrection.

Or, more likely, a bunch of FBI doofuses masquerading as such.

I've seen huge groups of bikers tooling down our local highways before. They're usually clubs going to some rally somewhere. When there are so many scary things in today's world, who's afraid of a bunch of gray-haired, pot-bellied guys and their fat mamas perched on the back?

Yeah, those old biker dudes aren't scary. But, as can be seen in the video embedded in the story, these guy are, um, inner city yoots, many of them riding uninsured vehicles and violating traffic laws.
