He's probably thinking of old mail flyers from the Save the Children Fund
I think I found that website via a link in comments somewhere, maybe Ace.
It's a very messy single page thing like old websites decades ago. If you click the Table of Contents it helps navigate. And the guy is not a professional writer and sometimes rambles, or becomes unclear, OTOH he hits some points out of the park. I can only digest a part at a time, again the index helps. The pictures hit me hard. Like who knew Jill looked like a teenage vampire sex-bomb (as we used to say) who 'everyone fell in love with' says her ex-husband the rock promoter. Or pics of both of them at Woodstock. And then look at the pics of Neilia, all naive and kind. Joe brought Jill into Neilia's home as a babysitter (says the website). of COURSE Neilia knew what was going on. etc etc
He was probably hiding in the bathroom when he gave that "interview" so Jill and his handlers wouldn't know what he was doing. Every time he tells some stupid, unbelievable fable about himself, you think he can't be any more ridiculous, and then he is.

What brought them together? Lust - for young flesh on his part, for power on hers. Even then, you can see he was not normal.
