Probably people from the intelligence and law enforcement agencies trotted out some terrorist boogermen to scare Mike "Little Bitty" Johnson, so he went along with this crap. And the other Republicans? Just marks begging to get rolled.
Not that there aren't terrorist threats; but the FBI isn't likely to stop them, since they're still busy chasing down grannies who may have committed misdemeanor trespass in the Capitol back when. In any event, there's never a good reason to start undermining the rights of law-abiding citizens wholesale.

Small consolation, the Iranians can't reach us with their drones.
Although no doubt Canada or Mexico would be happy to look the other way as launch sites are set up on their territory. Or hell, Cuba would sponsor them for a couple million barrels of oil.
And as the skies darken with shrieking drones, the Feebs will be busy snooping on Catholics, parents, first amendment fans, pickup owners, anyone who owns a red ball cap, while the ATF smashes down doors and shoots anybody who lent his buddy a shotgun to hunt ducks with. And blue states AGs unleash lawsuits on anybody who simultaneously refinanced a home while having a Trump sticker on his car.

Can someone explain why they expect us to recognize law & order, but they get to ignore that same law & order when it suits their agenda?
