Back in the early Eighties I lived near Fresno, which apparently had the largest population of Armenians outside of Armenia. Home of Ross Bagdasarian, aka Dave Seville. Also his cousin William Saroyan.
I read one of Saroyan's memoirs, Sons Come and Go, Mothers Hang in Forever; it was an entertaining book of short anecdotes and character sketches of notable people, from Hollywood and elsewhere.
