Respect?

Yes, sir, comin' right up.

I wonder if he's figured out finger bowls yet. Btw, you want reparations? Take it up with France, dude. And maybe the Clinton Foundation.

  1. So, when was Haiti granted independence by the colonial power? 1960's? 1970's? Maybe as late as the Eighties?

Oh... 1804? And independence wasn't granted, plus they slaughtered all the colonists then? So what are the reparations for? Looks like you guys killed all the bad guys more than two centuries ago.

So how do you think you can still blame them now? Hey, how about you guys have a nice big refreshing mug of STFU and sit down?

  3. BTW, 'reparations' in French is just a fancy word for 'repairs', like repairing a leaky boat.

    Same in Haitian Creole:
'Vou crére qué navire à vou gagné bisoin réparations?'
'Do you believe that your ship needs repair?'

  4. I was afraid for my grandson and his family but they were on the outer edge of the storm and missed the damage. We in SW Ohio, on the other hand got a regular monsoon and hurricane-like winds that tore up a lot of trees. We did need the rain though, after a nearly summer long drought.
