One of my favorite boogie-woogie pianists (Freddie Slack) teams up with one of my favorite 1940s songbirds (Ella Mae Morse) to head "A Little Down the Road A Piece".
Bonus tune! Here's something clever for you fans of atonal music.
"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Was Freddy the inspiration for Schroeder?
ReplyDeleteI thought it was him at the very beginning. Schroeder, I mean.
I was just reading up on Vince Guaraldi, the jazz pianist who composed the original music played by Schroeder in the Peanuts cartoon movies, and the guy had a pretty interesting career. He played for Woody Herman's Third Herd back in the fifties.
ReplyDeleteMan, can't seem to remember the style protocols. Peanuts.
