Update As various people have pointed out, this wasn't just Joe Biden pardoning his son, he was also letting a witness against himself off the hook. I assume we'll probably have to wait for the administration of God's justice.

ReplyDeleteThe pardon is not about the gun and tax crimes, but what still remains hidden concerning China and Ukraine and millions in bribes. What's more important than putting Hunter in jail is uncovering all the illegality and making it public. DOJ can no longer investigate Hunter, but it can investigate Joe and his brother. Congress can also investigate the whole family and everyone else potentially involved. The truth will make the pardon stink even worse.

there is legal nuance in the request/answer; a Pardon just freezes the clock on crimes committed, it does not dismiss or expunge them; he was found guilty for the gun charges and enough evidence was found to imply guilt and therefore prosecution for the tax charges, but those cases will go no further.
