In fact, I guess I'm past due:
This is what happens to a nation that deems criticizing dangerous lifestyles off-limits.

A doctor can’t even tell an obese person they need to lose weight anymore. The medical establishment promotes harmful transgenderism. Homeless addiction is treated as a protected identity. pic.twitter.com/JZ6d2oYwT9
Ummm, no.
ReplyDeleteWe count a lot of stuff nobody else counts.
EUnuch countries are notorious for that.
If your baby is more than a few weeks premature, it's 'stillborn' and left to die.
Life expectancy in most sub-saharan nations would probably be less than 50 of the counted stuff accurately.
So, what you're saying is that I shouldn't move to Chad.
DeleteStupidity is supposed to be painful. In extreme case, lethal. Modern society is all about reducing risk, including those that come from stupidity.
ReplyDeleteWhich is fine. We don't want people dying from silly preventable things. But obesity is not silly, and is preventable. But we're not allowed to suggest proven preventive measures. Transgenderism is mental illness and without treatment it only gets worse. But we're not permitted to treat them.
We ought to attempt to correct stupidity, not encourage and reward it. But that's a hate crime or something.
I check the local obits every morning, to make sure my name isn't there yet, and it may just be me, but it sure seems like there are way more young people (in their 50s &60s) showing up there than in the past. They very seldom list the cause of death, so maybe it's just coincidence, but I wonder if our old friend the Covid vaccine is involved in the crash. If it is, maybe things will get back to normal eventually.
ReplyDeleteMy doctor has not been afraid to tell me I need to lose weight.
ReplyDeleteI've had three chubby doctors tell me I need to lose weight. One of them's an internal medicine guy who gives me a colonoscopy every five years. I don't give him any sass, because I'm afraid he might decide to use a garden hose and a Go-Pro next time.
DeleteMy doctor isn't overweight, but you certainly can't say the same about his nurses, and most of the employees at the clinic.
