"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
For some forgotten reason (peer pressure, I think) I went through a 'cowboy' phase in my 20s, and started wearing cowboy boots.
ReplyDeleteI remember looking at getting a Stetson hat, too, but decided I was too skinny to pull it off. Plus, they were a bit pricey for my budget.
I have a couple of Stetson fedoras, but no cowboy hats, sadly.
DeleteI do have a Stetson, but the hat I wear most often is an Akubra.
DeleteAkubras are nice.
DeleteIn the 1970's I went rabbit shooting with a mate. He sold many of the pelts to Akubra. They were pretty selective, head shots only, but we made enough money to pay for ammo and beer. Good times
DeleteDrop by the Paco Command Center sometime, Mick; you can shoot all the rabbits you like. You can keep the pelts, and I'll even provide the guns and ammo.

ReplyDeleteMy maternal grandfather wore a Stetson fedora.
The well-dressed man!
