Happy Pi Day to all
ReplyDeleteSilly holidays are the best holidays. Even though I was finished with Star Wars after the original trilogy, I do appreciate May the Fourth, and International Talk Like a Pirate Day.
ReplyDeleteThe one that still confuses me is every April 20, when all the stoners commemorate Adolph Hitler's birthday. I don't get that one at all.
Mmmm, Pi!
ReplyDeleteSeconded!
DeleteInteresting difference: Nth Americans (incl Canada?) call something a pie if it has filling on top of pastry (pizza too).
ReplyDeleteLook up image of traditional Brit steak and kidney pie, which often only has pastry baked on top of a dish of stew filling. No pastry base. But it's a pie. (And pizza is not)
Curious.
Oh, and I think we might call those baked fruit pastries 'tarts'! :-)
DeleteWe call those "Pot Pies" bruce.
ReplyDeleteI love me a good chicken pot pie.
Pi is my second favorite unknowable mathematical concept.
Infinity being my favorite.
Fascinating. I've heard of pot pies.
DeleteI think I've broken Google AI. It just told me Louis Armstrong (Satchmo) was Irish.
