"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh

ReplyDeleteIf I'd have been a be-bop musician...maybe. But I'm still thinking it unlikely.
DeleteOr a racing tout, maybe. Do you have a check jacket?
DeleteI have few virtues, but never having worn a check jacket is one of them.
DeleteNice to see the short pic of Willie and Percy Humphrey outside Preservation Hall. Back in the 60s, you could usually count on seeing them there (hatless) with Sweet Emma. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ferha6dE7Uc
ReplyDeleteI liked Gene Hackman in one in the French Connection.
ReplyDeleteThat is all
Yeah, he did look pretty natural in that.
DeleteThey look too..... 'I'm trying to be cool!' to me.
ReplyDeleteOnly if you're wearing it ironically.
DeleteThing is, I don't believe there's any other way to wear one.
