Happy Father's Day!
Best wishes to all you dads out there! Enjoy your special day!
And the USS's America, San Diego and Rushmore just arrived in Sydney Harbour before exercises. A very welcome visit from friends, 4500 sailors. I wonder if the local girls wait on the docks like they used to? Probably too busy with dating apps these days.
My grandfather worked in the dockyards (Cockatoo) during the war. He died before I was old enough to ask him about it but I know they worked on all Allied ships.
