Seems just, to me

Leftist judges are very much part of the crime problem in the U.S., allowing themselves to be governed by crackpot social theories, unmitigated by any concern for the victims. So, while I don't know exactly how something like this would work, I certainly endorse the idea: "Rep. Randy Fine Plans to Introduce Bill to Hold Judges Accountable for Releasing Violent Criminals to Reoffend Following Horrific Public Stabbing Murder of Woman on Light Rail by Deranged Career Criminal".

What specifically prompted Rep. Fine to act? This:

The proposed legislation would “hold judges accountable when violent repeat offenders they release commit new crimes,” he said.
This comes after 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr. murdered 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska last month by stabbing her multiple times in the Charlotte, North Carolina, light rail station.

Btw, I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it before, but I positively despise the city of Charlotte.  It's long been an Atlanta-wannabe, and now seems to be mulling over the possibility that Chicago might be a better model. It's a smug city, confident in what it takes to be the truths of DEI/BLM/race mongering progressivism, and has been as far back as I can remember. And now, par for the course, the mayor is trying to stifle coverage of this latest outrageous murder because it doesn't advance the preferred narrative. Evil people, sworn to uphold the tissue of lies that comprises their ideology - our mission in life should be to fight them, tooth and nail, to smite them, hip and thigh.

Related  Ace has a few, er, mild observations on the murder of Iryna Zarutska.

  1. In a non-insane world, this would be terrible.
In this world, it would be justice.
I'd be for building housing on the judge's property to house the folks they release.

  2. Perhaps a requirement for judges to carry an insurance policy that will compensate the victims of the criminals (or their family, if deceased). And make the premiums go up for every instance of bad judgement.

At times like this, I wonder if it's actually possible to hate the media enough.

  4. I keep thinking that could have been my granddaughter. Thinking about that feral monster being allowed to roam free after FOURTEEN ARRESTS makes me livid.

    1. Between all the illegals and encouraging crimes, things are getting scary all over.
That could be any of us, just walking down the street anywhere you could meet one of the Dems' ferals.
