Hmmm...

That's an interesting development: "Marines fire entire command for Osprey squadron in Hawaii".

  1. A Marine general fired the commander, executive officer and senior enlisted leader for an Osprey squadron in Hawaii last week “due to a loss of trust” in their ability to uphold safety and readiness standards...

A clean sweep like that implies that the unit was practically dysfunctional. Or there was serious hanky panky going on somewhere.

  2. My first thought was gross incompetence with maintenance procedures, those Ospreys do crash alot, second thought was yeah, Shaina and Jamie were fraternising a little too much.

    1. Lacking information, I'm giving even odds for either of those scenarios.

Maintenance failures would certainly be cause for relief. But fraternization by or with superiors, especially at the command level, is a serious offense. It's more common than one might think.

But the US military didn't always cover that up, and when it happened, the results were usually published, in a frank manner.

However, with the infection by DEI, and the feminization of the military, I am not confident that such is the policy anymore. That statement from the flag officer is way too generic for me to dismiss hanky panky.
