Interesting approach, Salem

This Oregon town apparently thinks it's best to keep criminals gainfully employed as city employees - I guess, to keep a closer eye on them? "Woke Salem City Council May Revisit Reappointment of Police Review Board Member Who Coldly Executed a Teenage Girl".

  1. The Crazy™ is endemic in Oregon, primarily in the Willamette Valley, and around Bend. Salem, being the state capitol, is the epicenter of their problems. The city council merely follows the state legislature on their descent into madness.

A genuine pity -- I was born in that state, and have multiple relatives there. It's going to take a revival of the 1st Oregon Volunteer Infantry to deal with those problems.

    1. It's sad to look at the history of states like Oregon and Colorado and even California - places tamed by brave and independent frontiersmen - and see what they've become today.

  2. "Without full background checks"
But if they had done full checks, would the result have been different?
'Cmon, man. How about you cut the guy some slack. He only did it once!'

    2. Well, we know he won't shoot a teen girl in the head again.

I mean, not that same girl anyway.
