Mystery tool So, what is this thing?

  1. Hand making those wigs looks to be a very tedious process! Too bad that one of those wigs doesn't impose common sense, decency, and justice on the current crop of judges.

As for that tool ... ... a comb for Sasquatch?

    1. I'm not sure what the original purpose of that tool was, but it looks like it would make a nice attitude adjuster.

    2. I've got one of those mystery tools, so it's not much of a mystery to me. We used it on the farm when I was a much younger man. A chain breaker for a certain type of chain commonly used on farm machines back in the day.

    3. I had to search for "chain breaker", r-man, but, then, I was not raised on a farm.

      Thank you!

    4. And the man wins a cigar! But why would you want to break a chain?

    5. :-) Yeah, it doesn't sound good, but I guess "chain separator" doesn't have the same ring to it. The chain you use it on needed to be placed in the chain breaker at the point you wanted two links separated, and then a hammer was used to drive the links apart after getting them in the proper alignment. Hard to do without something to hold them in that alignment.
