It could have been worse

She came very close to avoiding a guilty verdict altogether: "The Lindsay Clancy Case Officially Ends in a Mistrial, So What Happens Next?"

I suppose it's possible the prosecution may decide not to refile charges, but that would seem to be damning, even in a godforsaken place like Massachusetts. My guess is that, even if they try her again, they'll never find enough jurors to convict.

Meanwhile, the voices in my head are telling me, "See! We told you it would be ok!"

Never mind what "it" is. Mwahahaha!!!

Related Dear God, they can't all be hearing voices, can they? "Frankfort mother charged with 2-year-old son’s murder claimed he was ‘devil,’ ‘antichrist,’ prosecutors say".

Witnesses informed the officers Corie Walsh had “recently become very invested in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial,” prosecutors said.
“At the time of this occurrence, the jury was still deliberating on the matter. The Clancy trial, involving a mother who had killed her children, was widely covered and discussed in the media and on social media,” prosecutors said.
Corie Walsh had allegedly been “actively discussing the case via group text message” with her friends until 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 1, three and a half hours “before the scene was discovered,” prosecutors said.
