The Norwegian-American Republican Association of Little Oslo...

... is solidly behind the candidacy of Sarah Palin (better not fewl vit doze fellers!)

Update: I may just try and catch Fred Thompson's speech tonight. I think it would be great if, after giving a rousing endorsement of the ticket, he'd grow menacingly somber and challenge the people in the hall - and the people at home - to make a visit to that other America, the one represented by the screeching sociopaths and embittered would-be komissars and tea-cup totalitarians, as, one by one, the web sites for MoveOn and DU and the Daily Kos were flashed on giant screens ("leave the children in another room, folks!"). "Take a look at what these people are saying about you and the America you love and the values you believe in. Then see if you can still say to yourself, 'I'll sit this one out. What difference does my vote make? Why does this election matter?' These (pointing indignantly at the web sites) are the people who are giving the Democrats their marching orders! That's why your vote matters!"

Update II: Haw! "Memo to Obama: Don't reach for the can of whup-ass if you can't manage the twist-off lid." More from The Paragraph Farmer.

Update III: How low can they go? Democrats release Sarah Palin's social security number. Update III(b): Not quite what it appears to be. However, they can still go pretty low.

Update IV: Thompson gave a great speech; I hope everybody was watching Fox News.

That's not a bad idea, and if anyone could convince normal Americans to take the tour of Crazyville, it's Fred.

No, wrong spelling for 'steppe', as in 'steppelatter'
