As my father once said, "They can kill you no matter how young you are."

CORRECTION!! Although that's true enough, I meant to say:

"They can kill you no matter how young they are."

No more pre-caffeine blogging....

Glad to do it John!

For those who might not know, John did some first-rate blogging on the Duke Lacrosse rape case a while back. It was must reading on the subject.

That should be Duke Lacrosse so-called "rape" case.

Somalis have always been a warlike society. They were greatly feared throughout subSaharan Africa as warriors, as notorious for clan warfare as for warring against outsiders. Nothing has changed in this century except the technology. Trying to effect empathy for these poor Somali "teenagers" shows how little Western politicians understand the Third World.

"I don't agree with this solution.... You can't just start wiping out pirates or suspected pirates because a few shots were fired in the air," said Nick Davis, head of Anti-Piracy Maritime Security Solutions.

Yes you can, and historically speaking, it works rather well.
