More Awesome Smartness Than We’ve Ever Seen Before
Matt: Quite possible. The guy is, after all, a lawyer; he should know that a comment like that from the President of the United States would most likely be seen (certainly by the defendants' attorneys) as prejudicial.
Deliberate or tone deaf. These guys are not going to skate on this. The same thing happened with Nixon and Charles Manson. Manson even showed a copy of the LA Times headline stating that Nixon had proclaimed Manson guilty. In these cases the living Constitution gambit comes into play. That argument goes something like: If we want to keep on living we will not let a mass murderer go free.
Obama can't figure out how he got the bullc$@p on his shoes after wandering through the pasture. Of course, someone has to point out to him that it was a pasture rather than some idealic meadow.
Hollywood is missing a great opportunity for the next Clueless movie,"Clueless In The White House".
Sign the Execution Order and save us all a ton of money. Now that would be a stimulus I could support.
