Americans may cringe when they view 'Borat', but to the rest of the world it shows a people in the American heartland of exceptional tolerance and hospitality : The rest of the anglo-world would have just slammed the door in Borat's face and he would have had no movie (same for Jamie Oliver).
American elites like Princess Katie are just not aware of how well-regarded ordinary Americans are outside the US for their generosity and open-mindedness.
As an American who grew up in "Flyover Country" - with pride in "yankee ingenuity" and the Golden Rule - I thank you, Bruce.
If Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia and New Jersey! are out among the great unwashed MIDDLE of the country, I take it as a compliment that she won't be darkening the doors anywhere near my cousins in Wyoming and my other cousins in Montana.
