Something like this happened to me the one and only time I tried water-skiing

The Flyboard jet-pack.

  1. Now that is truly an example of disposable income.

  2. Sorry, but if I had 100k for a toy, I'd buy four wheels...with a Ferrari attached.

  3. The first time I tried a skateboard, I was about 20. I stepped on it at the top of a steep hill and am proud to report I stayed aboard for a good 100 yards at maybe 20 miles an hour before the inevitable.

The second time I was 49. I stepped on top with both feet and the skateboard went 20 MPH without me and I landed on my right elbow.

I plan on trying again when I'm 60.
I was taught to never quit, never say die!

  4. Jonah: Balance has never been my strong point. I tried to ride a skateboard once and all I remember is something about a tetanus shot.
