Question

I'd like to think that President Obama would be embarrassed by something like this, but I'm not at all sure he would be. What do you think?

A normal, humble patriot in love with his country would be upset greatly by someone placing his image on the U.S. flag.

So, I guess that leaves us with another question. Does that describe the current Occupant?

He didn't make any comments rejecting the parallel when, during the 2008 campaign, some clueless columnist compared him to Jesus. One might have thought that a believing Christian would have rejected such a comment PDQ. Why would this act bother him?

Adoring crowds chanting "O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma" sounded to me in 2008 like they were hailing der Fuehrer. I have seen nothing since then to change my opinion that the Democrats supporting the IWon are a bunch of incipient fascists. This desecration is just one more example.

When Obama says, change and hope will give us grace,
Then we heil, heil, right in Obama's face.
When Herr Holder says, black is the super race,
Then we heil, heil, right in Herr Holder's face.

When Herr Doc Chu says, to ten bucks gas needs to race,
Then we heil, heil, right in Herr Doc Chu's face.
When Madame O says, America's a disgrace,
Then we heil, heil, right in Madame O's face.
Yes we heil, heil, right in Obama's face.

Roll on November.

Another thought related to my "Hippo" symbol for the Democrats.

Imagine the outrage if a Republican had placed G.W. Bush's image on a flag, like this.

For completely different reasons, of course.

Rman,
I still like the donkey. It gives me the opportunity to refer to the Democrats as the Jackass Party.

I think those were part of the annoying marketing jag that every unscrupulous purveyor of useless junk went on post-2008.

Obama plates, Obama coins, Obama flags. His only objection was that he wasn't getting a cut, as I recall.

Are you kidding? That flag is the perfect next step for the President who had a presidential seal before he was ever elected.

What's a little more enraging is the video clip of that idiot woman defending that flag. Apparently she thinks we're supposed to be electing a Supreme Leader, not a president.

Are you kidding? If he were going to be embarrassed by that then he would have had to have been embarrassed by the Shepard Fairey HOPE poster, which was such an obvious homage to 1930s and 1940s Stalin posters that it made me ill. And yet then-candidate Obama did not distance himself from the comparison.
