"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Aw no.
ReplyDeletei watched parts of that movie last night. it is, with out a doubt, one of the stupidest things i've ever seen (i skipped the icky part). if this is the catalyst for these protests that says a lot about the nature and maturity of our enemy.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or does it seem bizarre that everyone seems to be talking about some movie and the fact that 2 embassies are attacked on the same day as the 9/11 attacks is presented as if it were just a weird coincidence.
ReplyDeleteAnd, of course, it may be a coincidence.
I think I'd prefer if the narrative were less about their claimed reason that "provoked" their behavior and more about their totalitarian behavior.
Replicating Tehran, 1979 on the anniversary of 9-11.
ReplyDeleteYeah. Coincidence.

ReplyDeleteIt was no coincidence. And it was not over some movie.
The stupid radical Muslims (is that redundant or an oxymoron) just acted as PR for the that movie. I wonder how many views they got?
Deborah Leigh said...Obama vows to hunt the perputrators. Yeah, and OJ is still on the hunt for Nicole's killers, er, murderers. I'm sure the ambassador's family, as well as those who were slain with him, feel comforted.
