“Tortured spirit”?

Meh, I don’t think so. More like a water-boarded ego.
White House aides say President Obama’s drawn-out decision making process on military action against Syria is evidence of a thoughtful, responsible leader. But it could also be the sign of a tortured spirit, a reluctant president who never wanted to find himself in this position in the first place.
If the guy had been truly “thoughtful” and “responsible”, he wouldn’t be in this fix.

As an anonymous commenter wrote in response to a previous post: “Syrians kill Syrians and Obama wants to send in the troops. Libyans kill Americans and what difference does it make?”

So the Bamster never thought ahead, waaaaaay back in 2007/8, that as President he might have to face the option of deploying military force?

How curious to admit such a glaring blind spot. It's as if they don't care he looks dithering, disorganized, hapless, feckless and stupid. Because of his noble spirit, you see.

And when Americans kill Americans, it's 'If I had a son...'

It's the President's job to go to war. There have been very few Presidents (if any at all!) who haven't sent troops into combat.

Any Constitutional Scholar™ worth his salt knows that.

You say Obama is a "tortured spirit", I say Obama is a dipshit.

I'd like for him to be a tortured spirit, though.

They are unbelievably patronizing. As if the President is a kid with his first challenge. What's so wrong about treating him critically, like they treat every other president?

But, but, Bruce, that would be an admission that liberals can actually fail!

"Tortured spirit"? More like someone unable to make a decision.

I think that he's figured out he's finally gotten himself into a situation he can't talk himself out of, or have the MSM bail him out of.

That could be pretty depressing for a sociopathic narcissist.

JXM: Depressing, certainly, but then there's always the consolation that it's somebody else's fault.
